We are in critical need of
volunteers to keep the VIP service to our neighborhood a viable deterrent to criminal activity. Please contact John
Bowland for more information or to find out dates for future training sessions.
VIPs are volunteers who complete a 6 hour training course given by the Dallas Police Department and patrol our neighborhood
in pairs at various times of the day and week. There is no minimum amount of time required to volunteer although while on
patrol, it typically takes about 30 minutes to cover the neighborhood twice. The more visible we are to the criminals, the
more likely they are to move on to another area.
